The equipment provides a cost-effective way to overcome the plating difficulties encountered in deep recess areas and small holes. It employs centrifugal rack to completely drain the bath solution that may be trapped in the recess areas or holes to prevent cross contamination. Thus the discharge of chemical waste could be reduced by 30%, and the recycling or treatment of bath solution could be significantly improved. The rotating rack also ensures more uniform plating thickness and higher plating quality. There will not be any mark left on the product at the electrode contact point as in the case of conventional electroplating. Due to these advantages, the equipment has used to silver plate die-cast aluminium alloy telecommunication components of several world class manufacturers.

This system is the first locally designed and manufactured machine making use of this technology. The machine incorporates several innovations to provide close performance but at a fraction of the cost of the models made in Europe, Japan and US, making it an attractive alternative to the above. A new control paradigm to tune the gas flow based on the cathode voltage, instead of the color spectrum, is also adopted to cut down costs on expensive sensing equipment. A PLC and touch screen control system is featured for the choice between manual and automatic parameter setting and running of the setup.
